BioTrust Supports the MS Fitness Challenge

In addition to being your resource for honest nutrition and health information, a major aspect of BioTrust's mission is to work with top-rated charities by donating a significant portion of every dollar we earn to help supply nutritious food, clean water, and improved medical services to families in need, both domestically and abroad.

It's good folks like you who encourage us and help us realize this goal. These charitable efforts are done in your name and could not be accomplished without your unyielding support.

BioTrust recently teamed up with David Lyons and the good folks involved with the MS Fitness Challenge (MSFC) to help transform lives. Through a donation to the MSFC, BioTrust will help three MS patients battle Multiple Sclerosis and "win the battle against all odds."

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is an autoimmune disease where your own body believes the nervous system is the enemy and attacks it. MS is characterized by a unique feeling of numbness yet constant, extreme pain.

MS can cause uncoordinated movements, a loss of vision, the inability to think clearly, constant fatigue, and, in severe cases, the loss of normal bodily functions and organ irregularities. There is currently no cure for MS, and the majority of MS patients are led to believe that they are destined for terrible symptoms that progressively worsen.

However, David Lyons' approach to battling MS was to take the "giant head on and defeat it." "I could not sit by and watch the disease destroy my body," says Lyons. Instead, David dedicated himself to training—he even competed in a bodybuilding show and is preparing for another—and proper nutrition and supplementation.

What David experienced was incredible. Rather than progressively deteriorating, he went from a meager "160 pounds of mush to 215 pounds of BIG!" Says Lyons, "I am bigger, stronger, and more determined than ever to beat this disease my way!"

An inspirational leader, David chose not to keep this "secret" to himself. Lyons' burning desire to help others who suffer from multiple sclerosis spawned the MS Fitness Challenge. The MS Fitness Challenge "is my test to others to encourage them to fight this debilitating disease through health and fitness," says Lyons.

It is the goal of the MS Fitness Challenge to partner with gyms across the country as they have done with Fitness Evolution gyms and provide certified fitness professionals to people with MS nationwide in an effort to educate and train them in the benefits of fitness in winning the battle against multiple sclerosis.

Because most MS patients cannot afford the cost of hiring someone to help them, the MSFC pays for fitness professionals at a partner gym and provides products to help them, free of cost, during a 12 week program through the donations of its supporters. MSFC provides the support MS patients need to stay as fit as possible, overcome limits, and keep their bodies moving.

Because of the great support of friends and clients like you, BioTrust Nutrition donated the funds necessary to support three MS athletes in their personal quests to battle this debilitating and disheartening disease.

Once again, it's good folks like you who have encouraged us and helped us to make one of our dreams come true: helping men, women, and children all over the world to improve their health. We're honored to have the great opportunity to serve you and to have you as a customer and a friend. For this, we can't thank you enough.

With Gratitude,

Team BioTrust
